Climate Control with AHUs

Optimisation of greenhouse climate and humidity with air handling units

At our new location on Groeneweg in ‘s-Gravenzande, we use AHUs (air handling units) in the greenhouse to mix greenhouse air with outside air in a controlled manner. This air is then brought to the right temperature and evenly distributed above the crop through ducts. This allows us to regulate humidity much more precisely than with screen or window gaps, significantly reducing the risk of diseases and abnormalities.

By directing the air flow, we maintain a stable temperature distribution and reduce heat loss. On cold days, this results in up to 20% energy savings. A sustainable and efficient solution that directly contributes to a healthy and strong crop.
